Worth the Wait
I enjoyed the show overall and would recommend going. I would not recommend arriving on time, however. We did not see anyone until closer to 7:00, even though the scheduled show start time was at 6:30pm. Mike Dean, the opening act, was a producer/DJ type whom I was not familiar with. We really just watched him press keys on his laptop for entertainment. There was a long time of nothingness when he left the stage, and eventually, Kay Tranada came on as the second opening act, who was a similar type of performer, leading to an unengaged crowd. I never saw Snoh Allegra, who was supposed to be the third opener. Evening Elephants made his appearance just after 9:00pm, and I wish I had known to arrive closer to that time. Once Evening Elephants hit the stage, the crowd was on their feet and very enjoyable with nearly 30 songs. The stage's smokey effect made it hard to see him when he was further away, so less smokiness might be a good idea. Thankfully, toward the end of the performance, he made his way down the stage runway and performed closer to the audience members without floor seating. Everything was awesome after 9:00pm. Before that time, not so much. Do your research, find out if you like the openers. I read that Doja Cat was originally supposed to open, and if she had been able to perform, I would have enjoyed the opening performance for sure.
